Just Hangin' Around - A Mirror & Wall-Hanging

I needed to swap out the outdated metal medicine cabinet with a mirrored door in our guest bathroom. Given the ample space in the vanity cabinet below, I figured that all I would need was a basic, wood-framed mirror. I had a mirror with an elaborate frame that would fit perfectly in the available space, so the mirror was removed, and Stephen built a new frame for it. As for the ornate frame? Well, it's currently in the garage, awaiting its transformation someday...

To see a previous mirror I embellished, click below.

Adding some deep purple squiggles - do you see a lake with seagulls flying above on the bottom? No, just me?

This Week’s Tea Spilling

As a very young child, I recall my grandmother having a small, metal trash can with a foot pedal. I loved finding things to toss into it just so I could step on the pedal and watch the lid flip open; such a simple action that brought such joy. 🤣 Another memory is that the trash can had a large, brown, paper grocery bag as a liner. This was before grocery stores introduced plastic bags. So, it makes me wonder...which is truly better? Paper or plastic? Cutting down a tree or polluting the earth for years? Would you pay more for biodegradable trash bags? And on the topic of waste, do you call it a garbage or a trash can?

I’ll be back next Wednesday to show you what I’ve been working on. Hope you’ll stop by again for a visit.
